Reps Aspirant calls for Calm, Support For Usibe

Barrister Godwin Offiono has called on his supporters to remain calm and abide by the decision of the party, by supporting the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Mike Ede Usibe, in the forthcoming National Assembly by Election holding on the 26th of February, 2022.
Offiono made this known while addressing journalists in Calabar, after the Party primaries adding that they all came into the race for service because of the rebranded PDP in the state. According to him “It became necessary for us to embark on this journey of presenting ourselves for service because of the sense of justice that the rebranded PDP in Cross River State potends, where impunity, Godfatherism, injustice and all other forms of manipulation will not raise their ugly heads.
“However the exercise of 3rd February, 2022 for the Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency seat, to a reasonable extent did not observe the aforementioned, which unfortunately resulted in the crisis that bedevilled us’’, he said.
Barrister Offiono maintained that “the trying moment, anger and pain from the Primary election, is now a thing of the past where our Elders, Leaders, Supporters and Admirers are calming their nerves. The People who validates the supremacy of our Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have now decided to “sheath their swords” to embrace peace and unity for the interest of the party going forward and therefore give credence to the party’s supremacy to ensure the growth and development of the Party.”
On the way forward, the former aspirant called on his supporters to collapse all strategic and campaign structure and work for the success of the party by rewriting the history of the good people of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency by voting for the party and its candidate and wished all party men who in one way or the other sustained any form of injury a quick recovery.
“To our dear supporters who in the course of the Primary election sustained various degrees of injuries, i passionately wish you all speedy recovery and appeal to you to forgive for the interest of our great Party. Please be rest assured of our continuous support. I hereby congratulate Hon. Mike Usibe for emerging as the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming Ogoja/Yala Federal House of Representatives seat”.
