LASEPA Closes Two Ikorodu Establishments For Environmental Infractions

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has closed two establishments in Ikorodu, Lagos, for breaching environmental and noise pollution regulations.

Landcraft Industries Nigeria, located in Odogunyan, was shut down due to severe environmental pollution.

The agency also sealed the Word of Light Christ Ministry (Camp of Light), based in Oriokuta for persistent noise pollution.

The enforcement operation conducted by Babatunde Gbenga, Deputy Director of the Enforcement Department, underscores the agency’s commitment to upholding the State Environmental Laws of 2017.

The General Manager of LASEPA, Babatunde Ajayi explained that the agency’s actions followed numerous warnings to both establishments, which were ignored.

“This seal-off demonstrates LASEPA’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the environment and public health,” Ajayi stated.

He stressed the agency’s readiness to take stringent measures against any establishment failing to comply with environmental regulations.
