Women Affairs Press Corps inaugurated

In its bid for effectiveness and coordinated coverage of the activities of Women, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, and state ministries of Women Affairs, the Press Corps has been officially inaugurated by reporters covering the bit. The Corp was born out of the passion to promote activities of the ministry in reporting and equally adding value professionally.
The inauguration and swearing-in of Executives which was witnessed by journalists from sundry media organizations covering the ministry took place at the Federal Secretariat a joyful moment as it served as an avenue to increase efficiency and enhance the massive promotion of the ministry.
The Chairman of the Press Corps, Mr. Ignatius Ushie who covers the Ministry for PeakNews , in his acceptance speech, empathized on the significance of coming together in a cluster to project the ministry better and professionally.
According to him “I urge us all to contribute our best to making sure that we all succeed, for me it’s a thing of honour and a privilege to lead able gentlemen of this Noble profession”.
Earlier, he applauded the members of the corps present for finding him worthy to head the association, assuring them that he wouldn’t betray the trust bestowed on him.
High point of the event was the swearing-in of other Excos among them are: Dorcas Pankyes, Vice Chairman; Gift Olivia, Financial Secretary; Oru Leonard, Welfare/PRO; Blessing Idio, Treasure; and Emmanuel Daudu, Assistant Secretary.
