Rontex Group Drums Support For Tinubu

As the race for 2023 general elections heats up and political campaigns commence in September, 2022, they are  alignments as political support groups strategise with political leaders across boards to fine-tune their strategies on how to go into the election in February 2023.

The leader and convener of RONTEX FOR BAT SIGNATURE Chief (Mrs) Ronke Carew Kolade, the Iyalode of Imosan, Ijebu has said the most competent to take Nigeria to the next level is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2023.

Chief Kolade started this in Abuja while receiving in audience, members of the Abuja chapter who paid a courtesy call on the grand Patron of RONTEX.

According to her, “Nigeria has gone beyond religion and ethnicity, your religion or where you come from does not matter now, what will count for all those gunning for the number one job of becoming the president is competence and spread, which of all the candidates, Asiwaju has it.

“You can confirm from what he did in Lagos and also as a leader of the party in the last seven years. Asiwaju is a detribalised Nigerian whose aim is to develop the country and unite it in line with the thoughts of our founding fathers, it is only in Lagos under the leadership of Asiwaju that you have people from other parts of Nigeria holding key executive positions”, she said.

Welcoming the members of the campaign support group, the Iyaloja General of Nigeria and Grand patron of RONTEX, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu said the idea of supporting the Tinubu candidacy for president is a welcome development but RONTEX like other support groups should know that participating and bringing people to the fold thereby voting for the APC candidate is the only way to ensure victory at the poll.

According to her, “the only way to actualise our dreams is to get our PVC, go back to our polling units and ensure that people vote for Tinubu and also protect our votes by making sure our votes counts. Support is not by carrying placards or wearing T-shirts and face caps, we must all put our acts together by telling Nigerians what our candidate can do and what he intend to do so Nigerians if elected”, she said.

On the Muslim/ Muslim ticket, Chief Folashade said Nigerians has gone beyond that adding that, “only people with selfish and self centered thoughts are using religion to divide the voters, the question in every Nigerian is, who will bail us out, economically, socially and politically? Religion, I can tell you, is the least of Nigerian problems and I can assure you that, if Tinubu becomes President by His grace, what we shall be talking is Nigeria and not what religion you practice”.

The Abuja coordinator of RONTEX for BAT Signature and chieftain of APC in Ogun state, Mr. Ogunbawo Olatomiwa Ebenezer, thanked the Iyaloja General for her time and pledged that RONTEX members in Abuja is made up of men and women of goodwill who are ready and willing to work to realise success in 2023.

Olatomiwa said FCT is made up of people from all over the federation, and RONTEX in FCT comprises of same. “During elections we will all return to our various states and polling unit and work to see that success is achieved”.

Also on the entourage were Mr. Ignatius Ushie, Miss Chinwe Okereke, Dr. Cosmos Akbamuje, Miss Elizabeth Jumoke Ogunbawa among others .
