Retired ACM Ayobami Omiyale Elected Chairman Of Military School Alumni
A retired Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ayobami Omiyale, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Military School Ex-Boys Association, Lagos state chapter.
He was elected on Sunday, 3rd of March at the 3rd Annual General Meeting of the association held at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, Lagos.
Other newly elected members of the executive are Vice Chairman-Kayode Biney; Secretary-Morondiya Adebowale; Assistant Secretary, Gideon Iyebu; PRO, Oyeniyi Olayinka; Welfare/Social Secretary, Ladejobi David; Internal Auditor- Olugbade David; Ex-officios- Abayomi Dabiri and Abdulhafiz Onabanjo.
While accepting the position, in an event that was witnessed by the National President of the association, Nguge Sunday Igueben, Omiyale said “I pledge on behalf of all the members of my Executive to fulfill my campaign promise to you. The fulcra of my campaign manifesto are welfare, decorum and the re-galvanization of the unity and camaraderie between and among ExBoys within Lagos and its environs. Discipline, we all know, is a two-way traffic. But decorum is a superhighway!
“There will be an update of our register using the App proposed by the Assistant Secretary, with the ultimate aim of conducting a documentary on every single member. This is a huge project and we hope to carry you along and also consult you for the best ideas on how to move the Association forward.”
In his speech, the outgoing chairman, Dabiri Abayomi, who completed his second tenure in office, appreciated all members for the confidence on the former executive members, recalling that the executive committee was inaugurated on January 11, 2020.
In the same vein, the immediate past Secretary, Hafeez Onabanjo, enjoined the incoming executive committee “to work harder on the gains that we have made particularly in the areas of membership participations and finance”.
