Obudu, Obanliku Agog As PPD Governorship Campaign Kick-Starts In CR-North Led By Barr. Venatius Ikem

Today, been the 16th of January 2023, heralded the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), 2023 Governorship Campaign, which took off and landed in the beautiful hills and valleys of Obanliku and Obudu Local Government Areas, as the Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates of the party, led by Barr. Venaย Ikem were all received and welcomed with joy and happiness as a show of support and acceptance for the party in the forthcoming elections.
The mammoth crowd of supporters came out in their thousands to welcomed the gubernatorial candidate Dist. Sen. Sandy Ojang Onor and her Deputy, Lady Emana Duke and the Northern Senitorial District candidates such as, Sen. Sen Jarigbe Agom , Amb. Peter Akpanke, Barr. Godwin Offiono , Chief John Ukwu, Mr Ashakia Pius, Hon. Rita Rita Agbo Ayim , Barr. Omang Charles and Dr Martins Achaduย who were all in attendance.
Barr. Vena Ikem, the state chairman of the party, speaking at the town hall meeting, expressed gratitude to the party supporters who have expressed hope and confidence on the party by sticking with PDP, despite the rain of APC political shady appointments to woe them to their fold. He also urged them to vote massively for PDP, and stand to resist every attempt to intimidate them during the electioneering period.
After speaking in turns by all the party candidates in encouragement andย appreciation of the party supporters, the partyโs governorship candidate, Prof. Sen Onor Ojang Sandy , eulogies the Obudu and Obanliku supporters and also promised to revamp the abandoned Bebi airstrip and other tourist facilities in Obanliku and Obudu to restore the lost penchant glory of the areas when voted into office come march 25th, 2023.
Other dignitaries in attendance include, H.E Donald Duke, H.E Effiok Cobham, Rt.Hon Peter Egbodor, Mr John George, Rt.Hon. Mom Olom, Chief Igbe Aruku, Chief Austine Austin Edibe , Hon. Hon. Frank Atsua the Obudu Chapter chairman, Hon. Theresa Alorye, the Obudu Chapterย Women leader, Princess Barbara Agoye Hon. Frank Ulem, Barr. DC Enamhe, Hon. Augustine Agba, Hon. Jacob Agabi, Barr. Michelle Monn, Barr. Paul Ishabor , Mr RoyJones Akpak , Comr. Brown Odey , Comr. Jo Esse , Hon. Emmanuel Ikwen, Hon. Emmanuel Ugbe, Hon. Peter Oti, Hon. Mike Upan, Rt.Hon. Moses Ocheche, among others.
The high point of the political activity, was the massive defection of APC supporters to PDP led by Sunny Undiabe, Gov. Ayade’s appointee who denounced the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside hundreds of his followers in the Obudu LGA of Cross River State.
