...names a block after late Mr. Wakilu Amusa

Governor Baba Jide Sanwo Olu of Lagos on Wednesday launched bayview housing estate to cover up housing deficit in the state and to better standard of living of the common man.
Before hin speech, the governor expressed condolence to family and staffs of LSDPC, over the death of Mr. Wakilu Amusa, whose death occurred on Wednesday morning prior to the commissioning. He promised to take care of the family of Wakilu and see the children’s Educationย  through scholarships.
He said: โ€œWe name Block C in honour ofย  Mr Wakilu Amusa. I enjoin our engineers to specially paint the block in his name to acknowledge his great work. He used to be some one I know personally, a dedicated staff and always punctual and the essence of doing good is for tomorrow, as one’s good legacy speaks for him.
” I could remember how this place was before in 2017, then I was the MD/CEO of LSDPC and with this estate being sited here, other developments has now surrounded the place and that is what we will keep doing to better lives of the common man in the state”. the governor said”.
ย He thanked MISA for being a good business partner with Lagos state.
He said Before the end of this month,” we should be handing over Ibeshe housing housing scheme and on so doing we will immediately go on with the phase two. Same will also go to Sangotedo area of Lagos and others, to further good living of people at an affordable rate.
“Because we are in a very dynamic environment, I will continue to work with private partners and organized private sector to be able to provide houses at an affordable rate to our citizen and to lowest income earners.
There are more projects on the way for execution and by the grace of God, before the end of this year we will be commissioning more housing projects including markets to better life of people and that of a common man.
Sanwo Olu who was LSDPC former MD, after his speech encouraged staff of LSDPC to be steadfast in the course of discharging their duties and do it deligently.
In a welcome address by the MD/CEO LSDPC, Arc. Dhikrullah Adedoyin Har-yusuph, said ”ย  I am delighted to warmly welcome you all to the official commissioning ceremony of Bayview Estate. We are proud about the fact that, our partnership with the private sector is yielding positive results in the interest of the good people of Lagos State and we are happy about this accomplishment.
“This project was initiated during the tenure of Mr. Governor as the then Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of LSDPC. Today, it is with great pleasure that we invite him to commission the estate as the Governor of Lagos State. You all will agree with me that it is such a great fulfilment.”
He further stated that Under the Sanwo-Olu administration in the last 1 year, “we have completed and delivered some housing schemes. Among them are the Courtland Luxury Villas, Igbokushu in Lekki and Lekki Apartments located at Freedom Way Junction, Lekki Phase1 both of which were delivered as joint venture projects.
“I am elated that the Lagos state government encourages the collaboration of all real estate developers in both private and public sector to exchange ideas and develop projects in order to bridge the gap of housing deficit in Lagos State. This collaboration is what has birthed this project we are commissioning today.”
In a goodwill message, the LASHA Committee Chairman On Housing, Hon. Makinde Rasheed, said “I want to commend the Rt hon. Speaker of the Lagos state house of assembly and with the support of House committees and members to ensure that the executive arm of government have its own way of executing all their programs and projects through robust registration and resolutions so as the private sector investors can have confidence in investing in Lagos state”.
