C/River Journalists To Honour Sen. Jarigbe, Launch Magazine

Journalists of Cross River origin based in Abuja, under the umbrella of the Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF), will on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, honour Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe with the 2025 Excellent Representation Award.
According to a statement jointly signed by Francisca Ogar, Chairman of CROSSJOF, and Raphael Ekpang, Secretary, the award is aimed at recognising lawmakers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to legislative excellence, constituency development, and impactful representation at the National Assembly.
The statement noted that Senator Jarigbe’s dedication to quality lawmaking, infrastructure delivery, and continuous engagement with constituents earned him the recognition.
“Senator Jarigbe was nominated among several others, but after a rigorous screening of the nominees—considering their visibility at the National Assembly and the feedback from their constituencies—he emerged top of the list,” the statement read.
The Forum further explained that Senator Jarigbe remains one of the most highly rated lawmakers from Cross River State, with constituents attesting to his performance and service delivery.
The award will be presented during the CROSSJOF Day celebration, which will also feature the official launch of the Forum’s new magazine, The Panorama, slated for December 2, 2025, in Abuja.
Meanwhile, Senator John Owan-Enoh, Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, will deliver the keynote address on the theme: “Human Development: Building the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs in Cross River State.”
The event is expected to attract several dignitaries. It will be chaired by Ntufam Hilliard Eta, with His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, as Special Guest of Honour.
Justice Walter Onnoghen (rtd) and Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), former Minister of Justice, will serve as Fathers of the Day, while Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita, former Head of Service of the Federation, will be Mother of the Day.
CROSSJOF Chairman Francisca Ogar said the event provides an opportunity for journalists from Cross River State to deepen conversations around the state’s economic growth, adding that this year’s edition is particularly significant as it coincides with the launch of the association’s magazine, The Panorama.
