The Hope Arewa Development Initiative (HADI) has carpeted the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami SAN, for what it calls “a calculated attempt to maliciously put Atiku’s (former Vice President Atiku Abubakar) integrity in bad faith knowing fully well the kind of overwhelming influence and support he commands now in Nigeria”.
Addressing the Press recently, President of HADI, Comrade Aliyu Mohammed stated that “we want to use this medium to commend the wisdom, maturity, humility and great sense patriotism that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Associates and Political Friends have been handling this conspired and masterminded issue in both their physical conducts and media engagements.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the man Wazirin Adamawa has quietly left the country since 2019 to allow this government operate peacefully so that people will not see him as instigating any crises in Nigeria. Despite that, he still offers suggestions to the government on how to move the country forward.
“Secondly, Atiku as far as we are concerned is a true Nigerian and No court of law, we repeat no court of law can adjudicate on this….it will not work, because that project Bring Down Atiku will fail. And come to think of it again, who is not an Alien in Nigeria, we all came from different places and converged here to make up what is called Nigeria”.
The organisation added that “we however use this opportunity to intimate Malami and his cohorts that a Man like Wazirin Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar has held different positions, from being a Custom Officer, Governor and a Second-in-Command of the Nigeria Affairs (Vice President) cannot suddenly become an intruder in the eyes of Malami and his Associates.
“And may we sound a note of warning here, that if Malami’s continue in this conspiracy theory to damage his political opponents especially from his own region; it would spell doom for the North and Nigeria as a country, hence, Hope Arewa Development Initiative call on the AGF, Abubakar Malami to henceforth discontinue whatever perceived legal and personal issues he has against Atiku Abubakar, and we make bold to state here that Waziri cannot be intimidated and bullied”.
